| Notes: | Contemporary copy of proclamation of James I made at Belvoir Castle to stop followers of his hunting expedition from hindering his pleasure by coming too close. 'we are continually molested in the like sorte, to our so greate discontentment, as no privat person would endure it.' Says wellwishers can come to him on his going abroad on horse or in coach. But if they interrupt him in his hunt the Knight Marshall shall intervene, apprehend and put them in nearest gaol 'to remayne during our pleasure' |
